Global Missions

Why we support ministry across the globe

Go therefore, and make disciples of all the nations.
Matthew 28:19

Jesus Christ came to us to seek and save the lost.  Hallelujah! Having reached us, He has sent us to proclaim His gospel to every people, tribe, and tongue.  A large part of our work at JP Bible overseas has been in Bible translation and making the Bible available to people where they are.  We are significantly invested in international evangelism and discipleship.  Over 10% of our monthly income is directed into local and global ministries.

Ethnos360

Mike and Sandy

Ethnos360 (formerly called New Tribes Mission) exists to assist local churches like ours in mobilizing, equipping, and coordinating believers to evangelize unreached people groups throughout the world.  Ethnos360 works to translate the Scriptures and see indigenous churches established that glorify God. Our team is largely focused on equipping elders and mission teams to reach under-reached people groups in southeast Asia.  Some of these areas of focus are not open to public proclamation of the gospel.

CEF of Southern California

Bill and Debi

CEF trains teachers to effectively share Jesus to children who attend Good News Club.  Teachers will learn about different age group characteristics, different religions, children at risk, and theology of child evangelism. Good News Club takes place in neighborhood settings such as homes, schools, and community centers all over the world and are designed to bring the Gospel of Christ to children on their level and in their environment.

GILLBT

Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy and Bible Translation

GILLBT is devoted to answering the call of the Great Commission through literacy and Bible translation in Ghana. Ghana has over 60 different languages and a completed Bible translation in only 14 languages, and only 20 completed New Testaments.
In 2023, our church family established a partnership with GILLBT to complete what we have called the Ghana 3 project. The project mission is to translate three Old Testament books (Genesis, Psalms and Isaiah) into three Ghanaian languages (Niagbo, Logba and Tafi) in three years (2023-2025). We are working with GILLBT to encourage and promote the translation process and have sent teams to Ghana in 2020 and 2023.  Our connection with their leadership teams and translators is producing significant work in them and us.

Voice of the Martyrs

Persecuted Christians

The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) is a missionary organization that serves persecuted Christians in the world's most difficult and dangerous places to be a Christian.
VOM's 5 Purposes
1) Encouraging and empowering Christians to fulfill the Great Commission in all areas of the world.
2) Provide practical relief and spiritual support to the families of Christian martyrs.
3) To equip persecuted Christians to love and win to Christ those who are opposed to the gospel.
4) To undertake projects of encouragement, helping believers rebuild their lives and Christian witness in countries where they have formerly suffered oppression.
5) To promote the fellowship of all believers by informing the world of the faith and courage of persecuted Christians, thereby inspiring believers to a deeper level of commitment to Christ and involvement in His Great Commission.

Deaf Bible Society

The deaf community is largely unreached with the gospel and access to the Bible is limited. The Deaf Bible Society (DBS) is a bridge connecting deaf people to deaf Bible video resources and more with the goal that every deaf person may receive, experience, and share the message of God's love in sign language scripture. DBS collaborates with deaf and hearing organizations on sign language Bible translation, access, and engagement.  DBS reaches deaf communities in over 100 countries, in 55 sign languages, 79 current translation projects, and over 1,000 deaf ministries.

Frontiers

Tim and Barbie

Frontiers seeks to inspire transformational movements to Christ to the least-reached Muslim people groups by sending teams to catalyze change. Frontiers trains believers saying, "Here am I, Lord, send me," (Isa 6:8) to live in some of the most difficult places in the world and equips them for effective ministry.  Through language learning, disciple making, personal development, and healthy team dynamics, workers are prepared for fruitfulness in the field.  Frontiers continues their missionary support with pastoral coaches that assist the missionaries and their families through cultural adaptation and ministry challenges.  Our team works as recruiters, equippers, and senders for this Muslim focused evangelism outreach.
